Ming has been patiently fielding my newbie questions and helping helping me decide what ship(s) to build.
I seem to be drawn to British Dreadnoughts so, Ming has culled the list to HMS Dreadnought, HMS Iron Duke, and HMS Warspite. Eventually, I'd like to draw up ABS ribs and superstructure parts for all three but, I want to concentrate on Iron Duke and and make more resources available for new captains as it seems to be taking the place of Edgar Quinet as the recommended first ship.

I know that Battler's Connection sells an Iron Duke hull but, having owned, waxed, polished, (and scratched!) full scale fiberglass boats, the idea of cutting holes in a beautiful fiberglass hull is something I'm not ready to do.

I'm not finding sets of Hull lines for these ships anywhere. Could anyone give me some pointers?

    Thanks,
    -X

Dreadnought and Warspite both have books in the Anatomy of the Ship series, those would be your best bet for those.

If you want to get on the water this year in your own boat, just get the fiberglass hull. It's more fun to show up to a battle with a complete ship than with a box of 3d printed parts. I too don't always like cutting out the hull, but once it is cut that gives you motivation to finish it to the point of sheeting it again. With a fiberglass hull and a disciplined building schedule (turn your typing time into building time and amazing things happen) you can be ready by the spring battles.

I got the Iron Duke plans drawn by Goff, a while back, from strike. I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the copy and later noticed in pictures of build threads on various forums that their copies looked just as bad. Dark smears all over the place and the line weights are pretty fuzzy.

Profile Morskie has QE and Warspite plans with hull stations. They temporarily are selling 1/144 plans in large scale PDF format again, so you don't have to wait for paper plans to be shipped.

Miyukikai plans are real solid. I haven't heard anything bad about them. I certainly like my bulged 1943 QE plans. The picture is of a copy of my originals. Website:

I also have the Morskie Plans. They are great for our purposes. If you get the plans in PDF and large format printer will have no trouble with them. The FEDEX/Kinkos here was able to do them for me in a couple hours. Was a little pricey, but compared to shipping and time, it all came out the same.

+1 on Miyukikai plans, they are of good quality. I would recommend them over Profile Morskie. I had forgotten that Miyukikai had QE plans, or I would have mentioned them first.
