Sounds to me like you are closer to the MABG group, then the MAG group in Annapolis, MD. Good luck in the hobby, and if we can help in any way just ask!

Lol I can't afford both at the moment. Tanks would be good though

I'm looking at building the north carolina to start. Like the looks of it. Though not the largest it will do for a while. One thing 8m wondering is if I buy a fiberglass hull I sheet over the hull with the appropriate thickness balsa right? Need to find a good tutorial

Yes, you can sheet over the fiberglass hull after cutting out the appropriate windows.

Is that the motor used by most if not all? Just 2 indexing if people were to cut out the hull then make balsa plates to install. Then again having the balsa sheeting would be good protection for the fiberglass. Just wondering

You cut the windows but sheet over the entire hull.

Hi, I'm Giles. I've been interested in Big Guns for years, and when I arrive to Virginia Beach mid-year I plan to build one. If successful I plan to do a 1/30 of the Missouri or Tripitz. I have PDF files of both.
