Our next battle is going to be May 20th at Swan Creek in Tacoma. 11am battletime.
I'll be there with a hopefully repaired Derf! and if I get to it, a usable Maru which means a return of the MaruCam!

The Suffren will be there. I'll log off and head back out to the shop so there is a better chance she won't be alone! I'll bring the Liberty ship too.

Think I finally have the leaks around the stuffing tubes sealed up the Derf...

We'll have something you can run/sink in if you want! :)

I just finished sheeting the Maru, did a real rush job but it should hold together I think - well enough to keep the water out :) I might find time to paint it before Sunday, still haven't replaced the battered remnants of its superstructure, but that just means less in the way of the MaruCam's field of vision.

    Summary:
It was raining, there were three of us, the MaruCam inexplicably failed to record it's first sink.
    It rained more.
I didn't bother taking pictures because we've all seen the Suffren, Derf and Maru plenty, and I didn't feel like standing in the rain with the camera.
We sank the Maru again and got a video that time.
    It rained more.
We were wet, we went home.
I had Little Caesars for dinner. It was tasty.

Hope to see more folk in 2 weeks on June 3.

Fun little sink, some neat footage of the Suffren and Derfflinger sailing by. You stirring up some mud. I'll try to remember to clean it up and post. Its about 5 min right now, will probably be less than half that when I'm done.

So was that video staring the Maru or the Derfflinger? Seems like every other frame has the Derf pounding holes in the poor little Maru.

The Maru is in every frame though, so it is the star of the show :)

I could upload the raw video, then you'd think the Maru was sailing for a pleasure cruise most of the time. Needs more warships. Bring some.

..Of course, I killed the MaruCam and haven't decided what I'm going to do about a replacement yet...
