Anyone have an online source for micro-perf mesh to be used around pumps? Looking for something that can be bent into a shape, rather than use window screen.
Idea is to create a box around the pump as a primary screen.

Carl turned me onto audio/car speaker grill a few years ago. It works great and is easy to get. The cut edges will rust but that isnt really a big deal as it will still last many years. AL doesn't rust if you can find it.

Lou, When I first made them I had a supply of grills from car audio projects. Now I bought a sheet of perfed Aluminum.
But you can always find your local car stereo dealer and wait till he closes and "dumpster dive" for grills.
People want replacement speakers behind the car side panels so the grills go un-used.

Carl, you got me thinking, optimal size for hole opening?

    316 Stainless Steel Perforated Sheet .030" x 12" x 12" - 3/32 holes
    White Painted Aluminum Perforated Sheet .040" x 12" x 12" - 1/16" holes
    Online Metal Supply 3003 Aluminum Perforated Sheet 1/16" x 12" x 12" - 1/8 Holes (40% Open)

1/16" or 3/32" holes are better than 1/8" because it will filter chaff that is smaller than 1/8", the opening at the restrictor.
Don't paint anything that can flake off, like pump screen.
