The Dayton Wingmasters Modelrama will be next Saturday, February 8th, starting at 9am. We will have 4 tables to display ships, so come by and check it out.

On February 29 2020, we will be attending the MakerX convention in Columbus OH. We will have 7 tables to fill with ships, so come on out and help support the club. The Event is from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and I will have more information after the 17th. at that time I will have a floor plan and details about setup times.

The most complete information is on their website at www.makerx.org (which includes a full list of our awesome exhibitors!). We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/makerXcolumbus/ (@makerXcolumbus), Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/makerxcolumbus/ (#makerxcolumbus), and Twitter at https://twitter.com/makerXcolumbus (#makerxcolumbus).

We will be having our first battle on 30 and 31 May at the Xenia pond. We will plan to start the first sortie about 10 am. Please make sure that you have paid your NAMBA membership or purchased one-time event insurance.

A couple of things will be different due to COVID 19. Please bring your own food and beverages, the club will not be cooking a lunch. Also, please bring a mask if you have one. The masks will not be required all the time since we are outdoors, but should be used if working closely with someone else. Remember that several of our members are older and have health issues. The club will provide sanitizing hand wash.

    Directions are attached below.

I just saw the forecast for this weekend. Temperatures will be in the low 70s and low humidity. I'm getting excited!!!

It was a fabulous weekend! The weather couldn't have been better.

Saturday started out slow, with the first sortie commencing about 12:30. That was OK, because we still got two full battles in. The four captains were Phil, Bill, John, and Mark. We saw some new ships on the water, Bill's Omaha and Phil's Dunkque. Bill's Omaha unfortunately sank, but all four floats (one from each stack) made it to the surface and recovery was made without a hitch.

On Sunday we got three full battles in. Bill was unable to make it back to battle, but we put Nikki and her mom in convoy ships had a blast.

The speed trap also debuted, thanks to John's work. It worked great until one of the lasers died.

The battle that was scheduled for this weekend at the VA has been canceled due to the Dayton VA center being closed to the public. Our next battle will be at the Xenia battle site on July 18th & 19th.

I hope the battle went well. I'm sorry I had to miss it. I did have a little fun touring the USS Alabama this weekend.
