I want to make one of your battles this year.
Right now Aug 13 looks good. Could that be a TWO day battle?

It looks like the battle tomorrow June 11 is not going to happen due to issues and conflicts with the sites.

So I will be hosting a two and a half day build-session this weekend at my shop in Pleasant Hill, Ohio.

    Let's build!

The big build has begun early!
J is here and we are getting to work on the Battlestations P.E.
It is going to be hot tomorrow. So we will have a cooler out in the shop, and get the A/C going.
But we will have to try to stay in the inner shop and keep the door shut as much as possible.
I plan to be up early. So feel free to drop in when you can.
And bring along your projects. We will get some up-dated photos, and get to work on them.

Got a good start on the hull hard bottom this evening. Can't wait to get back to it in the morning.

The shop is now closed for a few hours so that your's truly can get my beauty sleep.
The nut will be back for more in the morning, and it looks like Phil, Robert, and perhaps a couple/few more folks will be making sawdust with us.
It sounds like we might be watching a season or two of Black Sheep Squadron this weekend.
    Let's build!

I am up earlier than I expected.
The shop is open for building for the day.
I anticipate that this will be a long day of good times, great fun, great movies, and lots of sawdust.
It will be the longest day!
    Let's build!

Robert was able to stay into the early evening. We were able to get a lot done on his Rodney.
Shafts, and rudder, as well as quite a bit of the superstructure.
Nut was able to stay into the late evening. We got most of the bottom of the Battlestations P.E.
covered with light play. The shafts are mostly in, and the joining rib at the breakaway bow is mostly finished.
He also got started on painting his USS Ohio.
Nikki, Roland, and Phil checked in to see how things were going. Phil was planning to attend, but he was feeling under the weather.
Gerry dropped in for a short visit. And Vance dropped in from time to time to hang with us.
All in all a truly wonderful session.
The shop is now closed for the night. But we will be doing it again tomorrow.

We should have Nut here by noonish.
It sounds like one or two of the other locals are trying to drop in as well.
It is only supposed to get up into the mid-80s today. So make sure you bring a jacket. :p
The shop will be open into the early evening.

Nut is here working on the Battlestations P.E. and his USS Ohio for Treaty.
John is here working on his Yamato for Treaty.
Jim is working on cannons for his Montana.
And it looks like the British are coming.

    Shop is closed.
We had a great build-session today.
I am on the run just now. But I will post up-dates when I get a chance.
But we got a lot done, and had a grunch of fun doing it.
Thanks to all that took part and also to those that checked in.
I am not sure what my schedule looks like for the next couple of weekends.
But I will have a look at it and see about trying to sneak in at least a little more building leading into
    the 4th of July battle.
