As far as I know, all of the club's officers are on here to some extent.
But I have not heard any plans to make the August 13 battle a 2-day event.
Probably because our July battle was 3 days, and we generally put a lot of effort into getting ready for our big event in Sept.
This season, we scheduled more events. But a couple/few of them are only one day battles. Local stuff for the most part.

May need to put a speed control on your pump and adjust the speed of your ship but otherwise it should be fine. We would love to have you guys.

    August 13 in Xenia, Ohio.
September 3-5 in Xenia, Ohio. Task-Force event.
    October 1-2 in Versailles, Ohio.
    November 5 in Versailles, Ohio.

These are the dates and locations for the remainder of the season.
It is possible that one or more of the Versailles, Ohio battles will be moved to the Xenia, Ohio battle site.
The August 13 battle was already moved to Xenia.

Both Treaty and Battlestations will be sharing the waters at our events.

They are calling for scattered rain showers all day tomorrow in Xenia.
It sounds like some of the folks are planning to go out there to play in the rain in order to get in some battling.
The fair-weather sailors.. not so much.

Vance and I had a wonderful time at the battle yesterday.
Not only were we able to have great fun. But being able to help others with their boats was also nice.
It was also very nice being able to hang out with Lee again.
    What a great event.
    Thanks to all.

Changing a Fast-gun boat over to Treaty specs can generally be done in a fairly short amount of time, depending on your set-up.
I will give you the short version here. And I will start a new thread as well, with the longer version.

Your VDT in Treaty still gets 4 units.
If you plan to run three 50 round cannons, then your pump can only pump 1 gallon per minute.
I think that the cannon quadrant rules are the same in both formats.
But we limit the down-angle on side-mounts to 15 degrees max.
And multiple cannon barrels in the same turret cannot be angled in to converge. They must run parallel.
We limit the muzzle velocity to the foam test that Big-gun uses.
Our speeds are slower. I think the VDT is a 28 knot ship. So the max speed would be 32 seconds per the 100' speed course.
We have scale draft, so we show more hull above the waterline. No extra 10% weight allowed on class 4 and above.

Generally.. If you are checking out Treaty for the first time, we will most likely give you a waiver for a couple things that might be a pain for you to change.
But if you have battled Treaty in the past, then we would like to see the boats set up over time to allow the changes to be made more readily so as to fall within our specs, when you come back to play with us.

Our next event is at the Xenia, Ohio battle site on Sept. 3-5.
If you make it down to a Treaty battle for your first time, we will make sure that you have lots of fun.
That way you will want to come back again.

Our annual 3-day Task-Force event is being held at the Xenia, Ohio battle site next weekend. Sept. 3-5. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Start times are set for 10 am on all three days. And we generally go until around 5 pm.
Both Treaty, and Battlestations formats will be there taking turns fighting sortie-style battles.

It appears that the Oct. 1-2 Versailles, Ohio battle is being moved to the Xenia, Ohio battle site. And the dates will be changing to a later date. Possibly the weekend of the 8th.
    I will post an up-date.
