I’ve got a modelshipsahoy Tirpitz hull recently. Originally Ralph Coles mold, but now with easier shipping from the good old USA. A very nice hull, lines are superb

Hard to fit in one shot. Very nice and accurate sheer line and stringer location, nothing questionable. Hull height matches the often quoted scale height of 4.1” or so

Good thickness, 1/8 to 3/16, no need for backing up ribs. Hull dimensions are spot on scale which is nice, flat bottom for those that care (not very important for ships that battle, some might care)

It was warm enough to get a float test in, checked from 35 to 41 pounds. She had about 1 and 1/4” freeboard midships at max weight, 1 and 11/16 at 35 pounds. I believe this photo is at max weight

Very nice hull, turrets are good too. Great to have some of Ralph’s molds refurbished and back in production with quality layups
