The Tyng Moggy was sea trialed yesterday. I'm ashamed to say that the operator was having to much fun to get any pics (other's in attendance may have done so). Only glaring issue was that she was too slooooowwwww! Besides that, she was sitting straight and level, shot a load of bb's across the Chesapeake, and generally looked beautiful on the water (as a French ship should). The speed will be addressed over the next couple of weeks and according to senior MAG members in attendance, I need to raise the gun a half degree or so.
Thanks. As soon as I get a thaw around here I'll have her on the water again. The last time on the water, turns out my end-point adjustments on the throttle were 20 percent lower than they should have been. Needles to say, this made for a sluggish run. Hoping true full power will take her in excess of 22 seconds.
The TyngTech Sea Systems test facilities thawed so we were able to test the Moggy a bit. Speed is still a little low, initially measuring 26 seconds but she speeded up after a bit to around 22 to 23 seconds. Might consider new motors or up the voltage a bit. She's at 15v currently. Also tested the pump which IMO worked quite well.
