i will definitely consider doing that then. Have you seen any added benefits to the wood screw va glueing?

So I got some of the GOOP stuff. I did a little test with it last night. I took two scratch pieces of wood and put a little little on it to test the strength. This morning the bond was pretty strong. It says it takes 24 hrs to fully set so I'll look at it again tonight. If it holds like it is supposed to I'm probably going to go with that option

Got her all taped up to start attaching the subdeck with GOOP. The bow area will not allow to come in from the bottom so I have to figure out a best way to glue it down.

E6000 is much thinner and will flow. You can get it at Michaels.
    Same as GOOP but thinner.

Your bow has a long solid section.
How will you get BB's out

I would like to see IRCCWC allow a Montana
It adds diversity to the fleet and
it is not too heavy for the people that want it.

I have a long magnetic rod used to grab bolts and what not in auto shops. Works great for the ball bearing. See attached

That would be an interesting site indeed. I'd love to see her traveling around at fast gun speeds haha

I use that for my BB's
When I reinforce the ribs and attach armor and balsa you build a box to trap BB's
I have seen Iowa's that you have to tear off the balsa to empty BB's out of the bow
Seems like you have solved that problem.

I'm also considering cutting an opening in the fo'c'stle for a second float. Normally I wouldn't think a ship this size would ever sink but I have witnessed a mighty Iowa class sink bc of not plugging in the pump so things happen. I like two floats fore and aft. This lady has plenty of room.

I'd like them to allow well-sourced hypotheticals too, like the Mackensen, which was started and the hull actually floated, but never finished.

Do you think the IRCWCC would like a Montana.
There is no big advantage over other ships and some people have built it.

I agree, but is that the only reason to exclude them

No make is not tiny haha

Update: subdeck glued in just need to finish up the bow area. I've also finished drawing the ribs on one side. Gonna have to double check my forward measurements. The line at the bow on the bottom is the estimated star of the bottom hard area. I measured 1" below the water line to get that line but it seems high. If it's correct then this beast has a lot of hard area. Considering the size I won't be surprised if it's correct. I've also drawn the lower edge of the stringer.

The Mackencen is another question. 24 second, dual rudder, haymaker, low profile........
