What kind of plane is on the Montana? Kind of looks like a Japanese 'Rufe'!

I have the rigging and Flags attached to the model . Not all the details are aboard such as wishes and searchlights and other stuff but the basics are on board. I will update this weekend hopefully . You can view Montana on my FB page and on my FB site Titans Of the Sea : RC Warships,Submarines & Auxillary . Now the next step is to wire the drive motors , pump, pump switch, smoke generator and connect to the ESC and plug the rudder servo and pump switch servo..Install the plumbing for the smoke to exit both funnels . Then Test out the systems followed by a float test and sea trials then pics and video of the Montana sailing .

Ok this is the final batch of construction pics. After this will be the wiring and installation of the ESC, Smoke generator, pump servo and switch and the ESC on/off switch and RX on/off switch. Then the launch pictures, ballast and trim test. Then propulsion and speed testing along with maneuvering , and helm control testing . Testing of the smoke generator through the variable speeds to produce variable smoke. Then finally the beauty shots and video beauty shots of the beast in motion.

Update .. I need to make adjustments to the plumbing for the smoke up takes then secure it in place. Tested the smoker again and it still works well . Weighed the model with all equipment aboard and it weighsv41.6 lbs . I need 8.4 lbs of ballast to get it to 51 lbs. I may settle for 50 or even 49 lbs . Hope to be launching the Beast next week .

I managed to get the Montana up to 49 to 50 lbs so I am ok with that .The hatches are getting easier to remove and all noftal the internal wiring is tidied up and secured . Next step is to float it and trim the ballast if need be .Then the sea trials can begin . I will get the on water photos and videos compiled and post them .

I am thinking of getting another smoke generator and run each funnel with a dedicated smoke generator .The aft stack bellows more smoke than the forward stack. There are 5 SLA 4.4 lb batteries in the hull . 3 for drive and 2 for pump . About 22lbs of battery ballast weight .

Montana launch day....did not go as planned .A single power lead connecting the battery harness to one of the tabs on the Deans connector had broken free severing main power to the ESC which powers engines , smoke, and servo controls. I had no way to fix it at lakeside . However I did conduct a float test fully loaded and the model sat perfect on the water and no leaks into the hull . The power lead has since been repaired and tested so we're going to try it again weather permitting either Monday or Tuesday .
