Well there you go. Finally the Montana is here. Once we return to normal here I will get it to the shed and get things started. NC is still priority right now then the VU But when I start VU I will be starting Montana too.

(in news broadcaster voice) Breaking News, the USS Montana has sprouted arms and legs and is going to smash any axis boat she can find. LOL :) Oh, sorry, that's only Curt. hehe:) Got some good laughs out of some of those photos. :) WOW, she sure is big. How are you going to transport something that big without a trailer?

I think it's neat that someone is taking unboxing photos of our stuff! Thanks for posting these pics. Stephen and I enjoyed looking at them. Thank goodness that's our biggest ship, otherwise we'd need to contract with Amazon for a box like

If I had thought of it then I just have stuck a large smiley face on the hull just above my arms when I had the hull in front of my face. That would have been funny.

I moved the Montana to the shed and showed it off to Tom Cromwell. Well did a height comparison and Tom is a very tall guy but the Montana standing upright was taller than him! I didn't notice before but the armor belt edge has a lot of chipping along the length both sides. I will have to fix those once I start working on it. In the mean time though I have a 9 channel TX ordered for it as it will be needed to control the funnel smoke, rotating turrets, anchors, lights and sound and the differential drive system. This project is for a bells and whistle Montana . Stay tuned.

Nikki right now I am getting stuff for her and researching items I need to set up the engine system so that it has differential control of the inboard and outboard props. I have found what I want for a smoke system for both funnels. I have a good idea what I willl use to rotate the 4 turrets. NC and Nagato are taking up the work bench at this moment. Once NC is done the next project is to arm the Missouri . Following that will be the VU and Montana build. So a busy winter and spring as I hope to have all these ships ready for the summer and fall .

No I don't have the room for it in the car for such a trip and all the equipment and gear. If I go anywhere with it , it will be to sail the the Nabs members but this model is mainly for sailing here.

With a little modification, you could go kayaking in her. ;)
