    I have never made a gun mount that I liked.

    Every one that I have made worked better than the one it replaced.

    My last mount is very similar to what Mark has in his last post, but the bottom
    of it has a three half tubes sodered to a brass bar and those half tubes are aligned
    on a jig so that they "hit" at the same spot. I can then unscrew the top aluminum
    bar to change barrels.
