So from what I understand the hull is supposedly upright. The Crysanthium at the bow is missing . More pictures Tues to arrive showing the stern section. This is fantastic news. If we can see the entire ship and the damage it is going to create a lot of new conversation about the ship and the class.

...That's quite the research ship / megayacht. Looks like something from a James Bond movie (or better still, a Clive Cussler novel)

"Bon Villain"? French for "Good Villain"?

So as I suspected the Bow is upright , the stern is upside down , the main Command Tower is pretty much intact buy lying sideways on the sea bed, Catupults upside down, and the rest of the ship is a tangled mass in pieces and debris. The stern had imploded as air was still trapped inside when she sank and she blew up underwater as she descended. The Damage from Torpedoes was heavy on both sides and the bottom of the keel has a massive hole where multiple torpedoes struck in the same area roughly. This as the ship's bottom was exposed during the sever list as she was rolling over.
Can't wait to see a book on this sometime similar to what was available for Bismarck and Titanic.
