Thanks for the updates. Sounds like a grand time was had by all. I am sure 50 ships on the water was an awsome sight to behold. Wish I could have been there. What is it with Axis this year? With two rookie captains and one new, untried, Lutzow built the week of the event, Axis creamed the Allies (all veterans with veteran ships)for the first time at NABGO (weekend before last, July 10-13), too, in BOTH of the major scenario events. First time in the history of NABGO. Go Figure. Still working on the battle reports. Cheers,
Bob posted the pictures on the PPB site, here is the link. Visit this site In shot 2654 you can see the big bad bully NC's trying their best to sink my Kumano, but they failed.
You don't chase Jeff. Or play stern to stern with him. You keep your distance and make him chase you. A long range sidemount pass is ok if you can keep away from his guns.
Bob, It was reported that super reverse was not an issue this year. Anything else pop up in its place?
Super reverse is always a problem and will be until it gets addressed. It was not as noticable this year becease of the types of ships on the water. There were a lot of cruisers. The allies only had 3 hug n slug ships, we did not try to go stern to stern with the axis as they would have crushed our 3 ships with their VDTs & Fuso. If was a fast pond, lots of running in forward. NATS 2009 maybe in CO or MO.
Hey David, Great Nats, but I disagree about super-reverse. Of course it wasn't an issue for cruisers. As a QE captain fighting stern-to-stern, I was at a huge dissadvantage in fleet battles and in one-on-ones. It is still a big issue for those battling without a system.
