Well, I'm driving the Sonata to Nats, so I need to get Evstafi done as soon as possible so I can do testing and get to work on convoys. First battle of the season down here is in 5 weeks or so. Sheeting Evie next weekend and testing in the pool :)

Most likely Evstafi because she fits into the trunk and because I can start battle testing in February. A couple small convoys, maybe the Gearing.

5 months, grrrrr, I getter hurry up and get Suffren on the water. :) Won't be doing any sea trials for a while. Not until it gets warmer here. (20 deg, during the day, 0 at night)

I've done mini-sea-trials in the bathtub before :)

Good thing my parents let me borrow the big jacuzzi, HMS Lion wouldn't fit in the bathub. And I got the water to Sea State 4!

I don't think Suffren would fit in the tub. Anyway, by the time I'm ready for sea trials hopefully it's warmer here. It's -4 right know, bbbrrrrrrrrrrrr. :)

NATS UPDATE: I got Evstafi sheeted and drove her around the pool today; she steers way better than she used to, but looked to be going about 24 seconds! Additionally, I got Malaya's outer silkspan layer put on, she's ready for paint! More importantly for the Allied war effort, I determined (by actually fitting her in) that Malaya can fit in the trunk of the Sonata! Meaning, I can bring May vice Evie (actually, Evie can fit in the trunk, too). Apologies for the bad flash photography, but here's the proof that May can fit :)

So, having determined that, and knowing that the formidable Bitondo brothers had several more minutes of soldering to do in the shop, I spent some quality time on 2 small convoys (modified Golos) that will be coming to Nats with me. Once I get them done, there's at least 2 other convoys that are a little bigger that can fit. I am basically going to have to fit all my non-boat items in the passenger compartment, and just put boats in the trunk. So now that I know May can fit, my Nats lineup looks like May, Gearing (no clever girl name for her yet), 2 Golos, Bogue, and Elorn. If I can drive the whole way with the sunroof open, I could bring a Midway lol.

ALLIES!! IF YOU ARE NOT DOING 10 MINUTES OF PREP WORK DAILY, YOU ARE NOT PLANNING TO WIN NATS! (I'll be happy just to be there, but why let the Axis win AGAIN?) (Full disclosure: I've been Axis for 3 years, I'm fighting Allied to try to bring balance to the Force)

The last time I built a ship it took 9 months, and the SS still isn't done, 5 months will be a new record for me (if it gets done).

I've gotten some good time into my USS Washington with the crew down at the Hayes Shipyard. Same thing with my girlfriend, Becky, and her HMS Warspite. Looking to have both boats ready for combat by April/May-ish.

Looks like professor Tuxcat lost his job to a rabbit. ;)

Since I'm French, does that mean I need to do at least 20 minutes of work on my boat to please both the Allies and Axis?

Wondered if anyone would catch that! The in-laws asked me to repair the concrete bunny that someone knocked over with their car (probably mom-in-law, she does NOT back up well). Inspector Tuxcat is still in charge of ship inspection :)

I haven't seen Tux in a while and thought that maybe he was fired. :)

Suffren got her first deck on yesterday. Work is starting the speed up due to me panicking that I won't get done in time. :)
