Good morning! I recently saw a video of RC warship combat on instagram and it blew my mind! I had no idea such a thing existed! The one I saw were sail ships from the 1700’s sinking each other. I have always loved the sea and history, I’ve been trying to find things are the internet but I can’t find anything to help me learn about this hobby, please help me!

This site has many resources. Also, what part of the country do you live in? Best to find a local club and observe and then get involved.

I found the videos that are posted on here, but I do not know how he even got the fiberglass to start testing the weight and how it floats

Welcome to the family of warships!! For a while I thought I was going to be the newest guy.

Have a plan on what you want?

I really like the age of sail so I’d love to make something like that for myself, but I know all the meets use ww1/2 ships, haven’t really thought of what I would want, I’d definitely have to try something on the easier side to start

Honestly, everyone is going to tell you a little differently:

Class 3 ANY NATION battle cruiser or Cruiser is what I heard that's easiest to start or learn on. (Beginner) 50 inches long

I choose Class 5 American dreadnought because I have built RC cars/ trucks/ crawlers before. (Intermediate) 47 inches long

WE ALL AGREE on, NO BEGINNER SHOULD BUILD and use a Class 7. (Advanced) The reason is that they're way to complex and are for the advanced and experienced Captain. The smallest is 6feet long

bsgkid117 (Will) owns South Jersey Shipyards and is an excellent source to help you start a build because he 3d prints boat kits look at his site because he helped me a ton. look at my boat build under my ship(s) this is because Will helped me. Skip to page 3. We ALL CAN HELP but I chose Will.
