This is excellent! Thank you for taking the time to do this, Kevin. This will be an invaluable resource.
Kevin this is awesome definitely something that should be pinned to the page for sure. You go into great explanation when you go from step to step. I love it.
Thanks guys, glad you like it. New video added to post above - calculating ribs and cutting windows. Much more of a beast, 45 minutes
New video added above - water-channeling. Video 3 will be internal layout, video 4 will be drivetrain, and video 5 will be rudders (focus on Fuso build). Video 7 will be deck - most footage is shot, maybe edit/publish this weekend
Added deck video part 2. Trying to work through the backlog in footage, current queue includes last part of deck install, deck pieces, setting gun T height, pump mount/assembly, installing shafts/motors, some gun mounting.
Added last deck rim video, adjusting gun piston height, internal armor. Also added a few videos from Tyler about ship classification and wood vs fiberglass hulls
Tune in for next episode of Bob Villa's this old boat. All jokes aside, extremely informative videos. Thank you Kevin for going through the effort to make these for us.
Very well done, can't wait to get started on my own, and when I do, i'll be coming back here every day!
I was able to finish up some videos over the holidays, I added three new ones and linked @bsgkid117 gun video I also hit the media limit on the post, so they are just links to YouTube videos added -internal layout -shaft/motor mount install for battleship -electrical overview and wiring I have recordings for several others done, I’ll try to be better at knocking them out
I found these vids on YouTube last week and have decided to finally get around to my Lutzow in 2024 using these as references.
