    Curt,
Make sure you have plenty of spares of the odd things that you may have in the boat.
    IE:
    extra servos
    extra Rx and Tx
    extra batteries (for all parts)
    extra fasteners of all types
    extra wire of all sizes
    extra screen material for pump
    extra hose and valves

in other words extra Biz in a box,
    Carl

Curt, try this place, the packs for the TX are $5 cheaper than the other place you showed.

Thanks djranier. I just checked out the site. Looks great. I saw the battery pack of 20.95 but confused as to why the pack next to it which is identical in everyway is selling for 45.95. Has to be an error there. Anybody use these batteries from these guys before and if so how good are they? If good I will get a couple of packs.
    Thanks guys.

I got everything in that list except for an extra RX and a TX. I am using universal plugs I could probalby use my other spectrum radio and RX and use that as a backup.
Better get things right the first time. ;)

Update. Nearly time for bed. The servos are back in the model and secured. The tool dipping went very well. I dipped the recevior with the extensions again for a third coat. So far so good. If this turns out like my other receivor in Bis this is not going to leak but again I will have it secured in a balloon and a baggy as redunancy both sealed. I forgot about the rudder servo and had to remove that from it's platform. I thought I bought enough O-rings for the tops of the servos but alas in the mess I have created I can't find them. Have to get more tomorrow. Geez I am so close to launching this thing it's driving me crazy. The weather is finally clearing and it's calling for sunshine hopefully this Saturday.

The receivoer is dry time 8:30 am my time zone, which is a half hour later than standard EST. I am making a coffing ..ahem ..box to place the receivor in which will be packed tight with silicone. Better than bagging it. Servos are back in and all tested. Everything works well so far electronically.

I was wondering if I could use the Spectrum DX and receivor as a spare? I really don't want to purchase another TX.

Whew. Done. I carved out a large section of underside under the main hatch. Test fit the recevior coffin and placed the hatch back on. The Tool dipped extensions are so stiff they prevent the hatch from closing. I placed the receivor on it's side and the hatch fit well. THe receivor restso on top of one of the drive batteries. I played around with it to try other options. I was able to bend the extensions exiting the box gently and lay the receivor upright. I placed the hatch down and it's compressing them right now.By morning it should be compressed in a low posiition so that I can try reinstalling it back under the main hatch again and have clearance this time. I bundled the excess wire neatly and secured with tie wraps. Closed the hatches and turned on the radio. I had the pump'light switch on the wrong switch on the TX. It was on the Flap Airleorn switch . I switched out the plug and corrected it. Tested it again with the decks battened down. Walked away and tested all the servos listening for glitches and whatching the rudder control from 25 ft away in the basement. Successul so far. Next test to fire up the Main drive and pump tomorrow and see how that goes. Then I got to clean this mess up. That will take several hours.

Next step is to get the deck tabs on and beign to clean up the superstructure of broken bits and pieces and reattach the deck fittings, install the new flags, and build the camera mount to attach back aft at the stern.
Pics to come of the work the last few nights soon.

Nice going. It sounds like it will be all buttoned up on time. I like the flag idea.

Update: Well I am beat but Bismarck is ready for sea trials. The receivor looks like a cockroach. I'll post pics in a few days to show what I mean. Meanwhile just some minor things left to do inside , the hull looks better inside now that all the crap and dust has been vacumed out. Now it's just getting the details back on and cleaned up , repaired.
I got my 2 spare parts almost ready for NATS along with my main tool box and Tote box. Full Support system.I took pics last night and will post later when I get the chance.
