Ok did last interior housekeeping checks. Accumulator Tanks and actuators are secured, The "Cockroach" Hotel receiveor is secured. I fastend a clear lid over the radio box to keep any splash off the tops of the servos inside. I trimmed the cross brace aft to access the 2 screws on the servo mount plate. Removed a few wire clips beneath the main hatch that were not needed.
The Bow anchor is installed now and I drilled out placement holes for the Ensign staff and the Jack Staff.

Curt, I can hardly wait to see your works of art at the Nats. I'm sure they are the most detailed ships I have seen to date. Awesome job!

The BIS is looking great. Hopefully you will be able to get out for some sail testing soon.

Thanks RichelieuBB, Thanks bb26. I'll post up a "Foresenic" Closeup of the Superstructure to show just how bad it really is. Looks great from a distant but I am ashamed of it. Mind you it's riddled with bb holes and crappy paint work mostly from makeshift repairs done in a hurry. The superstructure looks great from a distan but not much different from the real ships superstructure on it's last day against the British. However I am repairing what I can and replacing what is missing or serverly chewed up.
Basically the boats and davits on the deck will be back on along with the anchors and bollards, cleats and Capstains, anchor chains, and AA deck guns. I have the Admirals Flag to go on the top of the main mast. The planes need new props and floats and of course I have about 20 crew on order to replace the injured and decapitated.
I'm hoping for fine weather here Wed or Fri bb26.

GO PRO UPDATE: I took a couple of shots from the GO PRO on top of the armature at the stern. Hieght about 16 inches off the deck. I was surprised just how much area the little camera can take in view. I cuold view teh entire basement and the sides as far back as the stern on Bismmarck, The entire length of the model can be viewed.
I placed the camera on the bow deck height and it was just like standing in front of the anchors on deck and looking towards the bridge. I realize now that I can attach to small mounts one on the bow and one at teh stern for 2 views for filming the battles. Lots of options here folks.

I am really getting excited about this trip. Money is tight and I may have to sell a couple of hulls to get extra cash for the trip.

Gun rubbers are going on. Can never go to sea without them! Ensign and Jack staff installed. Some missing rigging replaced. Trying to make the cam on the pump light servo work both one at a time on the flip swtich but no go. Now I ended up mixing B turret and D turret to fire simultaneously. Hmm that would be cool. Anyway before I could correct it my FailSafe alarm kicked in and I continued till it got to 7.2v then the screen went blank. Time to charge up the TX again. I took more shots of from teh Go Pro and watched the Bis battle Cam on the OAF videos. Deck view is fine but you still can't see a lot going on around the ship or see shots land from the ship. You can see the odd splash hit Tirpitz port quarter. Cool sink though . Too bad the water wasn't clear. It gave me some ideas so I tried different elevations and took shots. Think I will go with more height to get A and B TURRETS as that is where the firepower is and I can get more of the ship in the shot and more on either side of it.

Thats the shot I am going for maybe a few inches lower . The ladder is a piece of steel whatchamacallit I don't know I found it in my box of scrap metal. It can be bolted to the deck and has a bolt hole at top to secure a platform for the camera.

The fireman's ladder is about a foot in height off the deck when leaning back 15 degrees. The mount and camera will add another3 inches. I could shave off 2-3 inches to lower it.
