Very nicely done, I can see my buddies drooling. The last time I went out in something that nice, my own team was shooting at me.
I really like the little details and the turrets. Red is the color for those ship turrets, It has a history of being that ship from Canada. I considered that color early on because of yours.

I think that's one of the main reasons I repurchased it from my good friend Chris Osborne back in 08 because it has a very good long history. It eventually would have been resold.Who knows what would have become of it. Thanks for the compliments Iceman.

The Yamato 's hull damage caused by the Bismarck during test firing of it's guns has been repaired. Half of the crew from Bismarck were assigned to repair the hull and they reported that the hull has been repaired of battle damage. Next the Bismarck will be assigning a paint crew to hide those large repairs.
The Bismarck Captain sent a fine bottle and sincere apologies to the Yamato Captain which was accepted graciously.

    SEA TRIALS #2 UPDATE.

Nice sunny day yesterday begged for another sea trial. The model was prepped and away we went.

SPEED: Well the first sea trial showed the speed was too slow. This time it was too fast. It was fun to see but seeing the bow wave spray up to the top of the anchors is not what I was looking for. The Bis had no speed adjust resistor this time. I wasn't expecting a huge jump in speed. Maybe with a smaller prop it's manageable but I never had to down size the prop ever in this model's 18 years of service. I am going to try the "ORIGINAL" speed adjust resistor that was always aboard. That should fix things there. If not I can put drag discs or use a ESC or ... a smaller prop.

BB CANNONS: In a word.... PERFECT! The guns all fired hard and consistently. No hiccups to report from the cannons. They hit their marks on the water where I wanted them too.

CO2 SYSTEM: The only issue I had here was one of my main lines 1/8 in balloned to a large bubble kinda like the belly of a GIANT ANACONDA when it swallows a Crocodile.
The hose was resting on the drive motor and the motor was hot it caused the hose to balloon. I removed the valve and add addtional fittings to move the hose up and away from the motor can.

DRIVE SYSTEM.: Again the motor was running flat out for over an hour and a half and put through it's paces. I also partially flooded the hull so that the stern would" DRAG" Mind you the stuffing tube is packed with grease that is still loosening up and the motor is still brand new being this it's second run so there is still a break in period.
The universal is not perfectly aligned to the motor shaft and I suspect there is a little too much resistance there. Working on getting that more straight to take the strain off the motor.

RUDDER: ISSUE here was the rudders locking into a sharp port turn(maybe from a TORPEDO HIT? ) I would have to stop move the rudders to stbd to get the rudders moving freely. Found the problem the end of the rudder arm was getting jammed between the top and bottom of the linkage clamp. I bend the rod and trimmed the end of the servo horn. It worked with no jamming.

PUMP: Worked well very large and tall stream. The pump would have difficulty priming because the water was pooling on the stbd side and not the pump side. I need to install water channeling behind the motor mount to keep the water around the pump. The Pump itself needs to be sitting more on the flat part of the keel and away from the sides. This pump housing is larger than what I usually have so just a minor relocation to get it to seat better and incorporate more waterchanneling there.

GO PRO CAMERA. - The video worked PERFECTLY. I got the exact view I was looking for and all cannons can be seen firing. Shots can be seen landing from each of the cannons. The only issue is I forgot to activate the speaker or sound on the camera. I keep forgetting to do that. The video turned out great though.

Going to post pics in the photos and this section...

Curt, I think you forgot to add one section to that report. I'll do so now for you.

    Appearance:

Bismarck looked amazing in her Baltic camo cruising through the inch to two inch high chop on the pond. Not a single person was able to go by without stopping briefly to take a look at her. I first saw Bis over ten years ago and I swear she looks better now than she did then.

UPDATE Post 2nd Sea Trial. Sticking rudder in hard turn resolved. One SLA fully charged. TX fully charged. Going to work on the other repairs and mods this morning. I figured out how I am going to activate the lights.Going to Rudder servo activate them . Much like the way I used to operate the bilge pump. I am going to build a mount for the pump switch and have the servo arm activate it when the model is hard rudder over. Least that way I got control of the lights by the TX.
