You can paint camo over poop and it looks nice. Mine is just shaped like a Sodak. I didn't even fix the battle scars, I am just shelving it for now.
I'm glad it's dominating the work table right now. Between the Micro Helicopters and the Tanks the boats have been taken a back seat. But now to bring them back.
Looks like my shifts are changing again. The good side is the ship projects are going to be completed.
Work on the radio box continues. Template that holds the servos is installed. Picked up a bunch of Throttle switches and connectors. Working on installing the 6th cannon in B or A turret.
None. Last 2 Days spent looking after my Mom around the clock. No sleep. Could not spend anytime in the basement. Bev had Gall bladder surgery. She should be home fromthe hospotial tomorrow. Sunday is out as it is Valentines. Working the rest of theweek. Only day off next week.
Ok now that I have some options for the cannon placement and still keep it legal I have to decide what would be best. Really difficult. In a previous post on another thread toinight I was thinknig of Dual sterns, dual haymaker, single sidemount opposite the haymaker and a bow cannon within the leading edge of the 15 degree quadrant. That will cover 4 quadrants with optins for above wl range shots and deadly below wL DUAL shots nice and personal . Now the bow gun is a cannon I am very famiilar with and quite adept at using on a Bismarck class. In a Target rich envirinment I can use it to good effect for above waterline shots. The Dual stern and dual Haymaker gives me a deadly area in the rear with less target area exposed below the waterline and a very large solid stern block . Add to Bismarck's exceptional handling and reaction to quick helm command and it's not a nice area to be too close too. Option 2: Single Stern, Dual haymaker, dual B sidemount and leave A turret unarmed. Nasty Aft and aft quarter covered with heavy firepower on the other side. However nothing from midships to the bow on the stbd side so that would be very vulnerable . Hmmm hmmm... suggestions?
A lot of IRCWCC battle side to side. I have duals in both a and b turrets with a long range 15' sniper in c and single/dual in d turret, 15 ' I plan on being able to switch from dual d to single d/ single c. That ought to keep most of the sides protected
That's what I was thinking. Heavy side firepower for going aggressive and defensive works both ways. I want maximum kill on and below the wL and leave the pecking above the wL for the stern and bow gun. Going to play with these options and see what works best for me. This is going to be fun.
Ok I think I settled on what I will do. Dual Anton turret sidemount, Dual Bruno Turret Sidemount, HAYMAKER single stern but with the leading edge of the 15 degree stern arc and a single stern opposite the haymaker on it's leading edge within the 15 degree stern quadrant arc. Most ships set up the aft area with heavy firepower but I intend to get up close and very personal with the duals up forward for heavy attack but heavy defense. You want my bow allies be prepared to get chewed up. The Aft section is for sniping and mainly used to snipe and defend . This is different for me but I want to try something different on this model. It;s easier for me to mount the double cannons up forward than back aft. I know the Bow is vulnerable but I want to make it tempting. I'm sure someone is going to forget that there will be a dual sidemount upforward instead of a single and expect a dual stern or dual haymaker. SHould be fun either way. Curt
That will do nicely. I just finished my rear gun install and my recovery float. All fits in awesome. There is a lot of room in this boat. The guns were firing hard before the tweaks.
