I got two solid days of sea time on her now. Pictures too, I'll post soon. Runs nice and all systems are settling in. It turns very well. The only thing I noticed was I drew my batteries down after 2-3 hours. I ordered new ones, I have been using these since 2003. It might be time...

2 - 3 hrs sounds about right. What size batteries are you currently using?

6 volt 12 ah gel cells. I run two in parallel. 2x3.75x6 or something close to that. These batteries have worked great for years. They power everything I have.

That's what I have and the run time is correct. You may get less during hard combat particulary when the pump kicks in. Clean running no combat manuevers can you can squeeze it to 3 hrs.

Electrical is going well. Throttle switches are installed and hooked up. I tested the switches with a live battery on a small 550 motor with the speed adjust resistor attached and played with the different settings on the resistor. So far so good it all works. Just taking a coffee break here and nearly finished wiring up the main drive motor and throttle system with battery harness. Hope to get the pump installed and wired before I leave for work.

UPDATE.. The Drive system is working well. Just need to attach the Deans connectors to the battery harness, install and wire up the pump and pump switches and search lights switch.

Next hook up the servos and test them, install the RX radio switch to the deck and build the cams for the poppet triggers. Install the linkage to connect the rudder servo to the rudders and connect to the recievor.

OB BIS( Old and Busted) is looking like a new ship again from the inside out.

UPDATE AGAIN. Well I had to work extra hard to get things moving forward. The drive system is completed. The Electrical wiring is completed. The Motor works great, everything is mounted. Battery Harness is doned and working. Searchlights are working off thier switches, pump system is installed and working. The only thing left now is to hook up the servos, test them, install the RX swtich, and build the firing cams and install. Then retweak the cannons. I ballasted the model and I got about 36-38 lbs of weight so far. It may just hover around the 39 lb mark which is just perfect. After this it's just the cosmetic work to bring it back to it's glory. I hope to float test it within 2wks and take it out for sea trials and gunnery practive. Been 2003 since I had my hand at the helm of this beast.

Tugboat.. the coating on the battery is tool dip. The standard covering the batteries have are not great at keeping water out. The tool dip seals the battery perfectly.

Those transmitters are for the battle tanks. I don't think they have been caught in any pictures.

Yes there are. it was a great week in the sun, sand and surf. The pool would have been great to battle the ship. Sit at the swim up bar and battle from there. Only 3 ft deep was the pool.
