    I was going through some boxes I haven't seen since the move years ago and ran across some old pictures. Thought I would share a few from the 80's. If others look good as I go through I'll add them later Enjoy!

    So, looks like I see your Exeter, Stan and his O'Bannon, Steve Milholland and Jeff Poindexter, with Steve's Alabama... Unknown Lutzow sinking with unknown ship ...
    Whee, fun times. :)

    The fun one is that Stan's destroyer was sunk by Jeff Life's Yamato cruising in the background.

    Got Marty's Warspite, Tom Jass's Swift sure and from the 82 nats in Amarillo Milholland and Poindexter looking at the Alabama. And yes, that was Jeff West's lutzow playing convoy ship sinking. That was a time when cruisers didn't have pumps and battleships were thought to be targets...until Martin Snyder snowed up with his Tirpitz. Fun times!!!

    3rd picture the Yammer is in the background with it's first victim (besides me) in the O'Bannon. Love you Stan. The same Yamato carriers on and is prepped for battle this weekend. TOO COOL!

    Here's a few more. Notice the results of penetrable superstructures and spurt guns. This is Terry Darby's hanger of his Astoria from the 1982 Nationals in Amarillo, Texas

This was the first time I had seen someone getting their ship ready for battle. It was also the first time I saw a combat sink. Jeff West's Graf Spee sank Steve's Alabama

    Here is the first HMS Hood in rc combat. It was built by Dale Beaver. He had a one on one against Fluegel's Bismarck. The funny thing about that battle was the Hood went dead in the water and Dale noticed that his pump did not turn on. Well...the police showed up and were asking questions about the hobby while Dale was looking at his watch and back at the Hood (it was illegal to swim in that pond). Right when the police left the Hood's bow dipped underwater and Dale went running into the water!! It was quite a funny series of events! IMG_20210325_215915890.jpg IMG_20210325_215910818.jpg .

    IMG_20210325_215927673.jpg Here is Martin Snyder's Lutzow blasting Stan Watkin's Wichita. Martin had twin spurt bow guns (100 rounds each). Both ships were beached but the Lutzow was pointed the right ditection. Martin neatly vaporized an entire panel!

    Also at the 1982 Nationals

    @Nomercy

    Not sure if you saw these, but I figured you would appreciate them. Especially since Marty is in some of them.

    I have a few more of Marty's original Warspite and at one point I did have some of his Quincy back in the day. If I manage to find them I'll put them up.

    That Lutzow was James West's Graf Spee that was posing as an unarmed merchant ship. The other ship in the picture was Stan's Wichita

    He dropped out in 95 and I haven't heard from him. Kept in touch for a couple of years, but life got in the way.

    The boats were much better looking back then.
