Cheaper to put two motors in.

And with two motors, you can splay them apart and put the pump further aft. Alternatively, you can reverse the side that the motor sits on the gearbox, and put the pump right up against the gearbox.

but what I want is to have more space inside ....... Two motors is a good idea only it takes up space.
one motor with a gearbox will not take up as much space.......more room for guns or a bigger pump.:D

Not really. As Tuggy stated, spreading the motors apart frees up center line space (where the cannons and pump have to go).

    Here's an example:

OH that's what he was talking about....silly me.... but with two motors don't you need two ESC or can they both run off one?......

Not really. Your boat will have a max speed which equates to a specific watt value to reach and maintain that speed. Using one motor or two, the watt usage will be the same, just spread across one or two motors. FYI, no gearbox is 100% efficient so there is some power loss when using one. Damned things are also noisy as hell. I prefer a whisper quiet boat for sneak attacks! ;)

ok...good to know....would you have to Solder the wires from the motor together so there is only two going to the ESC...and what size of a ESC would I need to use for it. I have a few from the Trucks (racing:D) that are brushed encase I needed them don't know if they will work or not (china crap :() and their getting old. should be "waterproof" still :p.

Do you have any crawler motors, those would be better for drive, save the low turn motors for the pump.

I'd highly recommend that you get a class 3 hardware kit from either Strike or Battlers Connection. Besides the correct motors, you get props, shafting, rudders, etc.
