Science fair project is turned in... Thursday is the big show. It’s time to move this thread from the exploratory ship comparison to the vendor news of the keel laying
We gave the boy a reference book to help him with his first from the keel up scratch build project. He just built a small scale Arizona for inspiration. Now getting busy cutting Orion templates.

Is that the "HMS Thunderer" book? If so do you recommend it?

The Orion class ships were super-dreadnoughts :)

As I understand it... (I’m often wrong) the term Super Dreadnaught is loosely applied to any Dreadnaught designed after the original Dreadnaught.

Yes, if I recall, the term was originally applied to the Orion class because of their 13.5" guns and all center-line turret arrangement...

Orion made his Holy Confirmation tonight. Honoring God and Serving others is a great way to live! His Big Sister was a great choice of sponsor and role model!
