Too wide and I think I have to take too much off for this to work in delrin. I'd like the walls of the mount able to support the elbows enough to tune the guns in the mount. This is only V1 design, I'm sure several will be to follow. Just trying to come up with something quick so I can get this thing on the water.

Ahh, Nick, why do you have to go and ask those questions that really matter? :)

Been spending too much time doing everything but building this boat. Decided to do something about that this weekend. At least all the tape stayed in place over the winter.

Probably too wide for the Lutzow hull, but I designed a solenoid mount last night. Worst case I'll put this in a Bismarck later. This should help keep the weight low. I'll have to see if the 2 sides need to be angled to fit in the hull. My robot fabricator is at home making me a sample as I post this.

It's definitely too wide for Lutzow so I made another flat version. The first "Low CG" version will work great in larger hulls. I'll make another mount for duals as well. Fitment is spot on. Just waiting for the other two to arrive. Might have to play with another mount to get these to lay flat and run 90 degree connectors.

Got some mounts that will allow me to easily pull out each solenoid separately. They are simply a tight friction fit. Just need some minor tweaks to the housing to make sure the 90 elbow fittings will have clearance.

Nice. That looks like what I need to secure the solenoids in my Iron Duke. Would you be willing to share the files?

Certainly, I just need to make a couple slight improvements and I will put it up in the resources section. Trying to build it so 90° fittings can be tucked on the underside with choice of straight or 90° fitting on top. The housing could be shaved on the sides if it doesn't quite fit. Planning to just epoxy and glass the housing into the hull. There are clearance passages for water to pass through on the underside.

V2 done and test fitted. Need one more round of tweaks to get it just right. Have to raise the bottom about 2-3mm to clear the bottom of the 90° PTC fittings. Friction fit is nice and tight without any sanding/filing.

Mounts have been added to resources. I made Triple, Dual, and Single mounts to cover different applications.

Got the sub deck fitted tightly to the hull last night. Time to buy more small clamps then get this all glued in. Thought about backing the ribs before getting the deck in place.

Armor belt backing is glued up (E6000).
Found a good way to make rib supports with one of these profile gauges. Should be a slow process but fitment will be super-tidy and I can make 2 of each for both sides of the ship. Plan to have all the rib backing done and the deck glued in by the end of the weekend. Want to get the shafts and rudder locations cut as well if time permits.

Thats' a pretty thick looking hull already. Do you really need to back the ribs? Just a cruiser, not going to be pulling alongside for sidemount love

Probably not, but it will be good practice to get the Bismarck and Scharnhorst just right. Should make mounting the interior armor simple too
