Post photos of yours, or someone else's Roberts. They're one of my favorite ships, and plan on building one someday.:whistling:
So give me something to drool over until I can build one.
    Thanks,
    Beaver

I have a couple of photos I can find and scan to get posted. I know I have video of the little ship in action that I will have to convert to get posted to Youtube .

Too cool! It looks like he was having rudder trouble. Does it always stick its nose out of the water like that?

It was having control issues. For some reason at the pond pictured here, we tend to have more FM interference than normal.

When it sinks the bow typically sticks up - Fairly light boat and it tends to trap an air pocket up there. Doesnt sink often, its technically not legal, about half the sides are solid. Was sort of a training boat for Phil's sons.

Sort of a floating submarine.LOL I can see why it doesn't sink too often, it's a very low boat.

I'm Rebuilding the HMS Roberts again and will post pics when construction is completed, waiting for part right now but i'm looking forward to seeing Stokamoto's pics, hopefully there are the old ones of my original Roberts. Not so difficult to build but a pain to sheet due to all the complex curves. If you do build it have fun battling, it may be slow and only have one gun but used right it can be deadly. The big battlewagons are great floating targets with plenty of space between guns for the Roberts to wiggle in nice and close and do some damage. I have a few pics I'll try to post here.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics. I'm going to build one of these fine ships someday after I get my Suffren up and running. I'm sure battling one of these ships is a little different than a cruiser. :)

I will try to get them together if time permits this evening otherwise it will have to wait to the weekend. The pics are from when Jamie and John had possession of it. I think I still ahve the pics of Tom's Nagato battling the Roberts. I will get these scanned and get them posted here to view. The only thing I hated about the Roberts was the way the aft quarter would slide under the water in a tight turn. The water would roll up the sides with little effort. The sloped sides were easy to shoot at with sidemounts . We ran Roberts a mock convoy ship a couple of times .

I will have some time this evening to gather the photos and get them scanned into my computer. I think I have about a dozen or less. I have old video on VHS but I won't be able to get them viewed here. I do have a machine to convert to DVD but I won't be able to do that yet as I need more free time.

It took a while but I have quite a few pics of the Roberts to get scanned. I asked the wife to scan them for me when she can tomorrow so I can post them tomorrow evening.

The Proud Captain of the HMS Roberts and the Captain of the IJN Musashi at the Moncton Regatta. Circa 2005 I believe. HMS Nelson on the right.
