I won one of Mark's new kits yesterday at the build-session.
I will have to look at the different superstructures of the various ships that can be built before I decide which one I will build it as.
But currently, I am leaning towards one of the wobbly-eights. The Mikasa sounds interesting as well. But I think that someone else
will most likely be building that one in the near future.

I am making a little progress on the Danton, and Republique.
Danton's ribs are finished on the card stock, and ready to transfer to wood (which I have).
Republique has the bottom sheeting complete (and sealed).
I also posted a new photo of my other projects.

Phil has made some progress on shaping his Kilkis, and assembling his new Frenchy.
And I have most of the ribs traced onto wood for my Danton.

Thats awesome work, I have been sorely tempted to build a Brandenburg, I have always had a thing for those ships.

Danton is coming along nicely. I hope to have the entire skeleton assembled by next weekend.

I'm almost done refitting Evstafi; she needs valves and guns, but she drives around great :) much better than 5 years ago! Likely going to go to Nats with her. I'll get some pics posted tonight.

Here's Evie from the side. Looks a lot sleeker in the pic than ont he table :)

I replaced the entire drivetrain. She's still old-school brushed technology, with an Mtronics Marine15 ESC (got two extras as spares), which will be plenty of capacity to handle two small 380 size motors moving Evie at 28 seconds. The battery is one of my LiPOs :) Designed a new small pump for tight fits, it goes between the drive motors, and it's brushless. The solenoids are the big Clippard ones; They do fine at 140#. Firing will be by Pololu switch cards when they arrive. Grey pump on table is not the small pump. It's destined to be fodder for Darth Kessler's pump testing regime.

Below is a closeup of the motors and pump. Yes, the motors are just held in place by PVC clamps. I'm still arranging the wiring, and I will be painting the interior so that debris and BBs will stand out. Dogbones? Yes, dogbones. Simple, got extras, and when the printer is working and I have nylon, I'm going to try printing replacements. Metal pins, but nylon bodies.

The old girl turns a LOT better now than previously, and now she's got THREE guns :)
