Graf Spee would be more likely.

Hey Curt. The ticket can be turned back and I can get the points back. I have up until departure time to cancel the ticket.

That's fantastic Paul. This will work out very well and allow Faye to come with me and we can both enjoy our vacatoin together while I am doing my thing at Nats. Plus side we can spend time in Nova Scotia and tour the Maritimes in NB or PEI or just hang out in Halifax. Either way were saving at least 200.00 just by taking the car because Faye won't need to purchase a plane ticket and what savings we have can be spent on fuel and stuff. This will allow us to take the Camping equipment and I won't have to worry about building a crate for Bismarck which will cost extra then I have to worry about it arriving in time and intact and go through it again. This way Bismarck is with me and so is all my logistics for the Nats. I can bring 2 tables down in the car to use at Nats. Most likely will have a Video camera on shore on tripod to record the event while the Go Pro Films from the heat of battle and Faye can use her Camera to take shots from the shoreline of the battles and event. The third car opens up a host of other possible options . Hard t believe it will be cheaper for 2 of us to get off the island and back by car then it would seperatly. I will be calling Russell again this week and Chris to see what is up with their vacations and status. Boy if Chris can go that would be awesome. Who knows he may bring his new GF with him.

Fuzzy may go too. Tom would go but his school work on site projects may overlap the event . You never know though. This week the passports get submitted along with the passport photos.

Thanks again Paul. I really appreciate it. BTW I am off this Tues and Wed. Call me .

    Curt,
You can leave the tables home, we provide tables, chairs and a large event tent in the pit.

We have the house set up for a nice nightly staging area so you don't have to lug ships and chargers back to your room like other places.

    Curt,
Yes your stuff will be safe, the down side of the location is that we DON'T get visitors.
The up side is you don't have to worry at all about leaving your stuff outside or in the
    house,
    Carl

There are LOTS of great spots to pitch a tent but the low spot in the streambed is already taken. (three years of flooding, you would think they would move???)
    Also plan for some rain.
    there is always some rain
    weather happens

bb26 are you staying in the motel? If so then I think Faye and I will do the same. The less stuff we have to take in the car the easier it will be to load up the car. I'm thinking of the convienance of the motel . I don't think I will be in the mood to set up camp and fuss with sleeping bags and air beds and teh tent itself. I rather just be able to go back to the room and relax and not have to fuss getting relaxed. I'm thinking the 3 of us could share a room. Does the cost increase with 3 pp renting the room or were you planning on having seperate rooms? What did you do for last year's Nats?

Well last year the motel was the only option as you could not stay locally onsite. So there would be a site tear down each year. This year I am undecided on whether to stay at the motel or stay onsite with a tent.

The larger rooms are slightly more, ($15-20) but they are larger. Rob will be getting the rates to the Belaire and maybe the Pine Grove on 55 (no food near but closer to the site). The Belaire has plenty of food service near, but a longer drive.
