Ok I am taking a brief break from PE.Spend time with my sweetie. No it's not Bismarck or Yamato...sheessh! lol. But I will be back at it Monday to install the lights, paint the deck, add the flag. Tues I will take it out to the pond for final pics and final testing as a completed combat ship.

Gentlemen...the Prinz Eugen is finished...well till the lights are hooked up.But yes the model is done.
I left off the bow anchors and chains, the Hause Pipes and the Jackstaff, Ensign staff, hooks and chains for the cranes, and a whole lot of little stuff that just can't go board or to the hull because this is after all a combat ship.

The Ensign is hoisted on the Main Mast, the crew are aboard ready to take this ship on patrol and defend her country.

I will take pics of the ship on the table as is at this time and post them later tonight, most likely after midnight.

Tomorrow weather permitting I will take it outside for on shore shots and Friday it will be sailing in Newfoundland waters for the final time. So pics and video of this event will be posted.

I will post the photos in both sections of NABS and the forum photos.

It's been a great experience building this little warship and I am honoured to have completed the model for bb26.

This ship went from obscurity to just plain being dumped in the garbage to sharing space in the dog house. I am glad to see it has come full circle and I hope the new Captain bb26 will enjoy this model for many many years to come.

I hope to see her fire her guns in anger again. It is good to see a good ship in the hands of someone who wants her.

Well I see I still have minor paint touchups to do. Hard to see the blotches till you post the pics on a computer. Well it still is a far cry from this....

    Excellent looking Axis ship Curt!!

Hey all you Allied guys, you do know thay the Prince Eugen is an Axis ship right? Just checking. Seems to me that even the Allies realise the superiority of Axis equipment.

(Moderators feel free to move this to the smack thread, but it does fit in here.)
