I was talking to a freind of mine who works at the airport and he said everything was okay yesterday after the morning. So Paul should have gotten in if he flew, if he drove the roads were alright by lunch time here.

More work completed on PE today. The hull was resanded today and had a "washdown" on the exterior and interior of the hull. All of the internals was removed prior to this..lol don't want to get it wet yet.
I redid the throttle switch servo location. It will sit on top of the drive batteries adhered to the batteries by velcro. This way when Paul needs to lift the main center hatch he won't be dragging the throttle switch with him. Next up is to paint the hull and decks. First coat of primer to bring out the blemishes and inperfections. Then I will fix those and resand and apply a coat of paint again to finish the job.

The ponds and lakes are finally opening up here..Yippeee!!!

I got the decks painted with primer light grey and the upper hull received paint however the paint can at the nozzell let out liquid runny paint which got over the model. I will need to sand it and redo it again.
I had to purchase new paint yesterday. Hope to get the hull painted up on Sunday. I cut out the Sintra deck for Tirpitz and for California also.

Roma had a stress crack running down the vertical below the forcastle to below the waterline. I sealed it and patched and just need to touch it back up with paint.

I got 7 videotapes for the show here. I purchashed a beautifuly 1/2000 scale Yamato as she looked when she was sailing with MUSASHI. There are 3 more in the series, #1 as built,#2 is Musashi#3 Yamato with the first upgrade and #4 her final refit and configuration when she was on her last mission prior to beng sunk. They are mounted on a black base with gold pedestals that the model rests on and enclosed in a clear plastic case.

    Beautiful.

    Curt
