No, that's cheaper than I remembered... totally acceptable at that price.

Mounted the gear box so that it can be removed if needed, two screws on the bottom are going through the blocks of the mounting plate.

Dogbone lined up and ready to go. Start of the water channeling in place.
Placement of the pump, now to cut the water channeling.

Cheesecake shot with the super just placed on the deck, will have to modify it to fit the new sections but this should look great.

The holder was made for the Kips, these will be drilled out to have the input come in through the bottom instead of the side. This ship is now going to MWC NATS, so the Axis will get much needed help. Not bad having a triple stern cruiser on your side.

NICE. Wish I could go, but the first surgery is in 5 days.

We WILL be having a Labor Day Battle (aka SE Fall Regional) in Statesboro. Mark your calendars now! Rick King said that he'd come up for it! :)

Starting the water channeling. Expanding foam underneath the fiberglass board, west system epoxy with micro balloons to smooth it all out.

Ship is done and with John for final fitting out as he learns all the areas of his new cruiser. Plans are already in the works to begin his new battleship, I'm sure he will post a build log on this site.
On to the photos. This is the very cool WTC (water tight cylinder) and the circuit board that another member made to clean up the inside of the tube. Plans are already underweigh to make a "plug and play" version.
Bottle installed, all three guns have their own feed from the bottle. This way there is no air "robbing" when one BB fires before the other. Red velcro straps hold the bottle to the cradle.

Wiring will be cleaned up and organized, everything is plug and play for easy swapping out at lakeside if necessary. Johnson 550, reliable and plenty of power. The pump has a single hold down, effective and lets the skipper quickly check the underside for any debris.
Three kips with the "in" ports drilled out so they can sit on their sides. Rudder servo easily accessible for a quick swap out, using the traxxis waterproof version. Gears are great.

    Johnny,
This is the one. It will be reliable and John already has a regional battle weekend under his belt with the Cleveland, so his learning curve won't be too severe. It will be a nice triple stern to the axis cause.

Are the "in" ports drilled out for a 90? Or what are you using so they sit flat?

Drill a hole in the bottom of the kip into the "in" port, use a barb fitting to attach a hose. Use the screw plug to close up the original hole. Now you have a Kip that lays flat and helps keep the mass lower in the hull.

Go to the Atlanta build log and look at page 6, you can see a modified kip. Forgot to add to the previous message, you drill and then tap a new hole to the bottom of the kip.
