Hot melt. Is was in the post like 4 times. It is also known as hot glue. Requires a hot glue gun to use it.

Ballasting, marking the waterline, and splashing the red.

I wonder how many Atlanta builders have had to add 1/3 of a pound of ballast?

The hull is leveled port to starboard and then blocked on both ends till the WL marks I made on the bow and stern (during the float test) are the same distance from the bench top. I then use calipers to mark the waterline.

I mask to the line and splash the red on. A cheap source of custom colors are these paint samples available at your local home improvement or paint stores. I use the best grade of flat interior paint available.

    Cutting the 1/4" WL tape.

The beauty shots. Not to shabby IMO.

The original mk1 Styngers require the finest in springing, so your springs of course! :)

That looks like it would work well in holding the magnets on.

    Allowed?

Nikki, the reason I post these build threads is so people can learn and hopefully get involved in the hobby (and maybe think out the box a little). Feel free to use anything you like.
