Not glued yet, but this already looks better than the Mark1 version

Third one for the haymaker. The weight will be offset by the bow cannon mounted on the port side.

New impeller from Strike. Time to clean up this old pump.

Making the base for the pump. As one of the issues is water rushing by the pump as the ship is going forward, I am going to try to block some of that by making the brace solid on the aft portion, time will tell if this helps or not.
Used the fiberglass angle and cut a slot for the pump discharge tube, then installed two threaded inserts at the top. Removed the nuts on the pump housing in preparation for the hold down.

Back bracket in place, this will provide a friction fit. Notch is for the priming hole on the pump housing.

Pump in between the brackets, now we just need to hold it down.

Top plate installed. Screws are short, so it takes less than 10 seconds to remove. This also allows me to create another pump that I can swap out in a minute if there are any issues, plug and play. Later in the build this will all get cleaned up and painted, but for now this is the rough assembly.

Now the moment of truth, did I install anything that will get in the way of the guns. The stern guns will fit with no issues, and the haymaker will be to the bottom of the turret in the picture below. So, success! Next will be installing the guns, and to do that I will need to finish wrapping the turrets in termite armor to get the appropriate diameter. I will cast in the vents and other detail as well.

Color check, everything is loosely placed in the boat.

Outside is taped and ribs are drilled prior to cutting.

Water channeling is defined, spacer blocks used to support the outside edge of the fiberglass sheet.

Using tracing paper, created both sides from fiberglass board.

Using batteries to hold it down, or the foam will push it up.

Where did you get the fiberglass board?
