So the guy in the cube next to me at work said that he saw some big gun action on the Discovery Channel. He said it was a show on extreme hobbies. As I don't have TV, did anyone catch this?
I would love to see that. Can you ask him which Discovery channel it was? (they have a few) as well as if he remembers the day/time it was on. If we can get that info we can probably find it online and post a link
about 5 years ago the FL & GA guys were filmed and put on an RC Hobby show. It was on one of the minnor sports cable networks, like VS or Speed. Maybe it was rerun. If it was somthing new we'd have heard about it.
The Maker Faire event a couple of years ago got about 30 seconds of coverage in Extreme Conventions as well.
I asked him for more info today and he said it was on at his girlfriends house on Saturday or Sunday and he wasn't sure it was Discovery. That's all I got. I have not been able to find anything online.
I have a DVD from the show that came to a Savannah battle... I think it was called 'Xtreme R/C' or something like that. We let them film the battles, interview us and talked about our boats, and posed a couple of battle sequences.
Clearly, from what I read, is that some of the clubs out there are in desperate need of a Propaganda seat on your club roster of officers.
