Ahoy everyone! My name is Jon. After about 4 ish year hiatus I am attempting a come back in this great hobby!

I am originally from CA now in Southern AL
I am a big gun guy with 3 ships in various stages of construction: one of Greg’s laser cut German battle cruiser kits(needs guns, radio and name) a strike USS Montana (subdeck installed, some windows cut) and a small laser cut transport(needs radio, sheeting and paint).
    Hope to restart construction soon!

Welcome back. What do you need to get your ships running?

The Mac needs cannons, radio, probably smaller motors and wireing.
Montana is currently sitting with subdeck installed and maybe a third of the “windows” cut out.

Well Montana will need 1/4 triples x4
The Mac will need doubles x4 I’ll have to double check but I think 7/32. I only have conways 1922-1946. I believe the Mac is in the 1906-1921

sounds like you may be close to the Georgia group. they are very active - IRCWCC. and would be very helpful.

The vac-u-boat guys are in Georgia. you might want to reach out to Phil and John.

Unfortunately as far as I’m aware my ships aren’t legal in fast gun. That being said I have found that ppl are generally helpful with ship construction regardless of format so I might just have to look into that :)

Kotori and his brother are both long time big gunners. They were/are WWCC. They have a lot of builds under their belt.

Also there were some big gun cannons for sale on here. Not sure what are left.

I’ll have to take a look :). I battled with the WWCC for a few years before joining the marines (now I’m army) all my ships have are built to their standards. I believe I met one of the brothers at a battle once. Might of been makers fair.

So Montana needs triple 1/4", the next question is what diameter magazine to make. What about the Mackensen? I'll have to see what I can do.

I’d say Montana needs 5” mags. Mac needs 4 by 7/32 duals. Mags 4” at most. You don’t happen to have some lying around you’re willing to sell do you? Haha

Nothing yet, but I'm slowly drafting up something to 3d print. Some folks in the WWCC made some printable torpedo cannons, I'm just adapting the base to fit rotating magazines.

Yeah Jeff K did it he has what appears to be a very good design for rotating guns as well he said he was working getting it right. His looks interesting. Once I got closer on the build I was gonna see what if any of his designs he was willing to share.
