Does anyone have, or know where to find Greek armored cruiser Georgios Averof plans? This is what it looks like, still semi-active in fact: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_cruiser_Georgios_Averof http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e5/Averof_Today2.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0a/Averof_WWII.jpg Thanks if you do, if not, ok.
Taubmans maybe? ANB has some of the Italian armored cruisers, I have their plans for the very similar San Giorgio. Of course the Russians seem to have all the odd ships. Predread or Tugboat may know.
Thanks, i hope they see this and respond, i'd like to grab some and do it later. Taubman does have it, thanks.
No idea. No greeks on the hard drive, I know that. I'll search around when I get home form work tonite.
I dont think they are very common plans, what about the Blucher, do you have those? Im on an armored cruiser thing right now : )
Take a look at this too. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=142885 http://www.steelnavy.com/images/YS%20Masterpieces/AveroffLineProfilePlan.jpg http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=37.933889~23.683611&style=o&lvl=15&sp=Point.37.933889_23.683611_Greek_cruiser_Georgios_Averof___
Thanks PreDread. Im thinking of this as my college ship, ill work on it slowly over a few years and battle it. (the Georgios that is).
LOL, when I stayed in my Bosses apartment right across the street from that ship back in the 90's I always assumed it was one of the BB's that Greece purchased from us. He owned the top 2 floors in the first building on the right hand side facing toward the buildings, where the main road is shaped like a H and goes from the harbor to the buildings, right across the street from the ships.
Just took a look at the plans from the wiki listing, and noted the strange angle of the propshafts. She'd be a handful to steer on one prop.....
Thats cool dj, it does seem like a very cool ship. And Darren, i'd probably make them parallel as to make turning better. I am fast gun, so it wont have to be perfectly scale.
