I found out tonight that The Legend, Marty Hayes, passed in November. I've been out of the loop for a while so I didn't know. Gonna miss him. I didn't have the honor of knowing him as long and as well as most of you, but I know he was a legend. I always enjoyed hearing his stories from the old days. Battles won't be the same without him. Fair seas and following winds, friend, you'll be missed.
Marty was a great guy. When the NABS club existed in Nova Scotia he came for several Can-Nats events in the early 2000s. His Warspite and mine teamed up multiple times and were often the last Allied ships on the water.
