    Officially: Big Gun.
    Unoffically: whatever is on the water.
    Big Gun cannons are so complex and expensive they've been pushed out a long ways. We'll see what the fall months bring, but really - don't worry about that yet. Focus on getting something floating.

    I think it's great advice when building your ship to design around the guns, but we'd rather try and get more interest in the hobby by sailing sooner than later.

    Yep. what james is referencing is check out the littorio and mackensen threads in the build section.. I am up in Ogden

    Sweet, yeah I was really jealous of your Mackensen and was thinking about trying to work out a trade for the CAD files :).

    kits are not that expensive to cut... and after you look at them, we can always cut more

    Come August I'm going to have access to a laser engraver, so I'll be able to cut my own. I just don't know CAD, so I can't make or model anything in it, but we figured out how to take CAD files and cut them out with the engraver, like a house that was modeled in AutoCad 2013.
