Rudder post size.

    Hello all, Can anyone tell me the size of the posts on a set of Battler's size 6 rudders. I have ordered a set but want to install the tubes ASAP. Thanks Jay

    Should be 1/8th rods.

    Thank you. I assume you mean the tubes need to accommodate a 1/8 diameter rod.

    yup that the size of em there jay:p but im not sure what size of tube it is u need

    5/32 tube is what he needs, it holds the 1/8 inch shaft on the rudder.

    Try cutting two small pieces of 5/32 tubing (maybe 1/4 inch). Then make the main tube out of one size larger copper tube. Insert the 5/32 in each end, you have now created a rudder shaft with two bushings on each end. Put a little lithium grease inside and insert the rudder post. The grease will stop the water from coming in as well as keeping the turning of the post effortless as possible.
