I was reading through the IRCWCC rules and found this line: "A ¼ unit cannon carries 12 BB’s if fired single shot, or 5 BB’s if spurted." The rule itself is obvious, but I can't figure out how a 1/4 unit could ever occur in a real ship. I went through the rules and found no other references to 1/4 units. MWCI had a rule that allowed some ships (only subs?) to split 1/2 units into 1/4 units, but AFAIK IRCWW has no such rule. Are there actually 1/4 units in IRCWCC, or is this just a dead rule?
Dead rule, used to have 1/4 unit ships but classes were changed a long time ago and whoever made the change didn’t change the gun rule
