I am looking to expand my fleet with ships from Poland and Russia, however I have no idea where to buy plans/ ready made ships. I live in a suburb of Chicago, so I assumed with the second largest Polish population in the world, I would be able to find something at least. Any links/ help with this would be great.

The Polish fleet was very small with no capital ships!
Mainly Destroyers and subs, with one mine layer. (The mine layer was the largest ship in the fleet.)
The Brits did loan the Pol's two light cruisers. (ORP Dragon, and ORP Conrad) Plans are easy to find when you search for the HMS Dragon.
As for the destroyers, I have not looked for plans yet. I stopped when I had learned that the Polish sailors used an old French Battlecruiser (The FNS Paris) as a barricks while in England during WW2 and flew the National Polish flag from her flag pole .
Plans for the FNS Paris can be found on the French warship plans web page.
Yes, she is on my build list, and she will be sporting the beautiful red and white when she sails.
    Hope this helps.
By the way, I am from Chicago as well, and still have family in the old Polish part of town. Which burb is yours?

Paris was a dreadnought battleship, not a battlecruiser.

I have a mold for the Russian light cruiser Profintern. The hull has the bow casemates, located very close to the waterline and they are part of the 16 gun main armament so can be used, plus stern casemates that are part of the superstructure, and the amidships splintershields along the deck edge. There are many options for gun placements with this ship model.

I have a fondness for the armored cruisers Adm. Makarov and Ruirik Ii. I have plans for the former, but have never seen any for the latter.

I see that I must be very careful on what I post.
I was on a break from my desk and was typing off the top of my head without checking my data.

Yes, I know that the FNS Paris was a courbet class dreadnaught battleship.

I wonder if any of the Polish saliors that were assigned to her are still around?

James and I disagree on the Courbet being one of the more beautiful classes of dreadnoughts around... Were I not following orders, I'd be building one for next year. Maybe after Homefront-6 gets cooled down from me being away for Nats :)

I hope that by the time I am able to build the FNS Paris that it will be possible to arm all of the primary and secondary weapons!

It is a dream that I have...

If you build a Paris in 1/96 scale for battlestations you might be able to arm all of the primary qnd some of the secondaries. Probably not so much in 1/144.

It was amazing with what the Polish Navy did with what they had during WW2.

One thing I always wondered, is it possible to find plans for the ORP Baltyk?
She was one of the largest ships in the Polish Navy.
Though she is a little smaller than a liberty ship.

I have not been able to find any inforamtion on what she was armed with or ship speed. It just states "hulk"

As far as I can see from a quick Google, the ORP Baltyk was the French cruiser D'Entrecasteaux (http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/d'entrecasteaux.htm). It appears that it was never in service as a sea going ship with the Polish Navy.

All of the drawing for the ORP Baltyk shows it unarmed.
And states that it is a "hulk".

Not totally. It had 2 75mm guns and 4 47mm.

Found the plans for the French cruiser D'Entrecasteaux .

Looks like she had 2 primary guns and 8 secondary guns.

in 144 scale she is 34.64 inches long.
