Until we get in-water testing of current builds or I get around to building prototypes (not likely with my other commitments) I am loath to hand out any more plans. We have two BB's building and multiple AC's started that I'm aware of. How about it current SP builders, anyone of you have a hull tested yet?
McSpuds CHS EViL is on momentary hold as he scratch-builds a VU. Once VU & my SMS Scharney are ready for the water, he is planning on mounting the drive motor & pump & wiring EViL. Rudder servo, skin & paint and we will have our "test mule" ready for performance testing. Guns and balance of super can be added later. My Panzerkreutzer, while further behind, will be getting some attention this weekend. My goal is to have her ready for the water for the May battle in Statesboro.
I understand the reasoning. Funds have not been authorized yet for my navy anyway. Can I get the XY plane dimensions for the PC so I can sketch superstructures to kill time?
Several of us have boats (prototypes!) in various stages of build. AFAIK, nobody's done any water testing yet. Look for several boats to be ready for testing next spring
Any further progress on the Steampunk flotilla? Dust is finally settling after our move to NorCal and my new shipyard (shop) is about to break ground! YEAH!! Then the UNPACKING and setting up can start. This will be a from the bottom up custom built shop of my dreams.....and I can dream BIG! Ok....just a 22x30 foot dedicated workship, but for me that's big. So what's the scoop?!?!
Been away for a while (life gets in the way) and now retired and with every thing locked down due to this Covid crap, I have PLENTY OF TIME to build and play. So did Steampunk plans & ships ever get off the ground? Where does it sit now? Anyone still interested in this? Recently moved back to SoCal up in the San Bernardino mountains, unpacking and getting ready to set up shop and start building again. Is anyone out there?
