Scuttling procedures?
Had the Germans had the benefit of hindsight we have now, they would have known that you could poke any Brit ship with a pillow and detonate their unstable cordite. It would have been an even more lopsided battle than when their future allies the Japanese crushed their eternal foes the Russians.

Yes, because the Warspite's unstable cordite touched off when the whole Forrest Gump fleet was shooting at her at Jutland...

Regardless of your Axis propaganda, the British won Jutland strategically and the German Fleet was never a factor again. Yet another glorious loss in the long list of Axis defeats.

You mean while the Japanese were Allied, right? I do believe the Anglo-Japanese Alliance was formed in 1902, while the curb stomping of Russia was in 1904...making that an ALLIED victory!
Too bad none of that Allied spirit rubbed off on the Germans and Italians as well
Even the Axis defenses are found in the end to be Allied throwmpings of their enemies.

I have a question. If the Allies were soooooooooooooooooooo superior to the axis, why did the Royal Navy order 5 Battleships, 3 Battlecruisers, 2 Aircraft Carriers, 13 Cruisers, 34 destroyers and 8 submarines to destroy one little German Battleship................................................................................................

Waiting...........................................................................................................................................................................................

Still waiting.......................................................................................................................................................................................

All I hear is NOTHING from the Allies!!!!!!

LOL The allied ships arent the ones famous for being total fuel hogs with crappy unreliable shells (Japanese) or unreliable engines, poorly protected guns, outdated protection schemes, unmaneuverable, armor deck placed too low, boiler humps, etc (german ships)

No, you're right about some of that, not so much about Allied ships being better than Axis ones, having better ordinance, although the US torpedos were AWESOMEo_O, you are right about the Axis ships being famous.
Allied ships were famous too, look at the DDs Baucanon and O'Bannon being damaged by friendly fire and how the USS San Francisco was instrumental in the destruction of the USS Atlanta.
Allied ships are like Sherman tanks, far inferior to their Axis counterparts but there were soooooooo many of them, like a swarm of misquitos, that eventually some will get in lucky shots!!:woot:

Kinda like how the biggest, baddest battleship ever built fared vs 3 destroyers, 3 destroyer escorts and a handful of carriers converted from merchant ships....

While we're bringing up friendly fire let's now forget the Mogami and Mikuma scuppering half of an IJN invasion force, including sinking the commanding general's ship out from underneath him at Sunda Strait!

How many14 and 16 inch shells pierced Bismarcks armor? about 3 if I remember correctly..... It took aircraft to sink most axis capital ships because the allies were afraid of the axis ships. The allies had alot of there capital ships tied up waiting for one german battleship to come out of Norway, and in the end they sunk it with 12000 lb bombs.... sounds pretty cowardly to me, If they were mot afraid of them why not go in after them as the german ship would have nowhere to run.

I wouldn't call 4 transports, Sakura Maru* (7167 tons) , Ryujo Maru* (8370 tons) also known as Shinshu Maru (later refloated)
General Imamura (16th Army) , Horai Maru* (9192 tons) and Tatsuno Maru* (6960 tons) out of 27, 1 measley general and a lone minesweeper half of an invasion force, (new Allied math????) It 's just an unfortunate side effect of unguided weapons, as opposed to aimed guns.
Do you Allied guys use that same math when tabulating Allied victories??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That explains an awful lot!!! Must have learned it in Allied propaganda school!

Once the VUs are complete I am planning to help a new member build his SoDak. I figure the Allies should have at least one boat with good engineering on their side...

My shipyard was looking to free up yard space that was being used by a useless American boat. This way we all benefit: the Allies get a boat with good engineering, a newbie gets a good boat to fight with, the Axis free up yard space for new construction, and the Axis get an opponent that might be able to give them a challenge before going belly-up.
