But Italy was allied with Britain in wwI. So does that make them allied?

Same with japan. They were allied with Britain and France in WWI. So by that rational they are Allied as well.

And yet they were initially part of the Triple Alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungary. They refused to join the initial fighting, claiming that the alliance was defensive in nature, and did not include the attack on Serbia. They then joined the Allies later when they thought they could grab some land, just like they joined Germany in WW2 when they thought they could grab some land. This is why both the Italians and the French are used to balance sides first: they flip from side to side then they feel like it.

Paul, they just picked the side they thought would win... Twice!!

They just wanted a couple of tips on how to build crappy ships!! They corrected the British mistakes and improved upon the designs. Also, the sneak attack at Pearl pretty much seals them as Axis forever. Nice try though (Axis wanabee HAHA)

Not so good for the Italians, you know losing their whole navy and all. Started better for the IJN but all good things must come to an end.

I wouldn't say it was a complete waste. after all think of all those new reefs the allies created using the Axis vessels. The fish of the world thank the Axis for providing them with a new home.

The ship yard has now opened. I have patched the battle damage on the PE and gooped the guns back into place. batteries are charged. I have started stripping the Sodak. What did you use in the PE for waterchanneling? Once it is stripped I will sand the hull. Then I will rip out the foam water chanellinvg. I have to repair a cross brace. Some ca and a piece of metal with some resin should re-inforce it.

Aaaah! A message that isn't smack! Whatever are we to do? This calls for a secret conference among Axis powers. Secret coded message following. Allied forces are not allowed to read the encryption key.

    Encryption key: A=1, B=2, etc.

    Secret Message:
    1-12-12 1-12-12-9-5-19 19-9-14-11

We didn't want to kick Axis captains while they are down.
