This was posted by Knight4hire in another thread, In some clubs the the them vs us (Allies vs Axis) has caused a lot of friction. In our club we build boats of both sides. when it comes time for a meet, we divide the ships into two teams of equal power, Allied or Axis has no bearing. This way we never know who will be friend or foe until the time of battle. Everyone in the club works together to build the best ships. I have both allied and Axis ships on my to build list. And will sail each one proudly! As I said, we also build ships from both sides and ALL clubs really need to. I mean if everyone just built Axis ships, it would be impossible for one side to win because there would be no inferior scrap for us to sink. Most of us also have Allied ships on our to build list because, as we all know, the Allies build the best cargo ships, garbage scows, tramp steamers and sewage collection vessels ever!!! (see, I can compliment the Allies ) I hope everyone had a happy New Year and look forward to yet another year of Allied bashing . J
Axis that have Allied ships on thier to build list (especially cargo ships, garbage scows, tramp steamers, and sewage collection vessels) know that someday they are hoping to move up in the world from the floating wrecks Axis normally tow around on the water. With a little luck, an Axis captain may actually show that they can keep an Allied ship floating and may be rewarded with thier dream come true: an Allied warship!
Quite true. It'd take the skill of an Axis skipper at the helm to make an Allied ship stay afloat for more than a minute
Well Nikki, you see the Axis didn't need to make really good convoy ships. The Axis knew, as do we all, that the inferior Allied POSs could never sink an Axis convoy ship, and they just run around in circles posing for Justin J
Haha, that's even more true! The last series of Axis convoy vessels I built were so superior, and the Allied ships so inferior, that the Allies couldn't hit one even when I was trying to get it shot
Guys, Here is what get me the convoy ships can't protect themselves!!! And most if not all had small teeth, like 5inchers, maybe less then that! But they can still bite!!! Nikki
heh, I know you'd probably get some warm fuzzy happy feeling that you could put a few holes in a battleship with your puny LST, but the fact is, the battleship captain will always have the last laugh as your ship sinks (and it will sink).

Hey all, I have an update!! This is hot off the presses! The Allies are in a snit because Justin won't return their calls, apparently he also realises that the Allies are a lost cause. The Allies have also been trying to get The Backstreet Boys to call them without success. They are now pouting, have buried their heads in the sand and turned themselves into bike racks until they hear from one or the other. J
