For pump switching, I really like the Hansen Hobbies PERS and Onboard Relay combo. For $16, you get a rock solid, easily waterproofed pump switch.

I wish I could go to October's battle Tuggy. But since I'm currently unemployed, it just can't happen. I hope to receive an offer for a position in Charlotte in the next few days, in which case I will be relocating and will be able to pay 2014 membership dues. :)
Badenenough will see battle in '14.

    Status Update:
SMS Badenuff, having completed an extensive rebuild at Spudwerks shipyard in KY, has been languishing at the fitting out pier (garage) in Charlotte, pending getting enough "stuff" out of the garage to allow me to work on it.
As of this past weekend, fitting out has commenced. A new 2.4ghz radio is on order from Tower Hobbies. A new 10oz bottle & regulator (Thank you, Strike) will barely fit in the bow, giving lots o' propellant for my four guns. However, the upgrade from 3.5 to 10 oz means my old radio box will no longer fit. So...
    Remaining to do:
    CO2 bottle mount
    New Radio box / wiring
    Deck hold-downs
Pump control (auto or manual, undecided ATM)
    Dump tank(s)/accumulator for guns
Skin & Paint (Thanks BC for new Balsa!!).
Once these items are complete, Badenuff will be a Fully armed & operational Battlesta...err, Dreadnought Battleship

Ok, got the new bottle mounted in the bow, my new Turnigy 2.4ghz radio arrived (yay!), and I have a question: The radio came without a battery, just a holder for a bunch of AA batteries. Should I just use AA's, or adapt a NiMh battery pack, or what?
Plan on getting lots done this weekend, since I've got all three days off......

I'm running my radio off rechargeable AA's. No problems so far. What radio do you have?

I used the AA's because that's what I had on hand. They don't work too bad. :) If you want a pack, Hobby King sells them. I don't know if you'll need to modify the plug or not, though.

You don't have to change the connectors, that battery has the correct one on it. Using them in 3 of my radios

Does the Low Voltage Shut Off work with Li-Po's? I've been doing some research, and people are saying it doesn't. I've also read that if you leave the radio on and drain a Li-Po, it's bye bye for the battery.
Lot's of people are saying LiFe batteries are better. From what I've read, the low voltage shut off works with LiFe. Also, if you leave the radio on and drain the battery, it's still rechargeable.

You set the low-voltage shutoff to the voltage you want, IIRC...

Dang, Tuggy..... who pee'd in your Post Toasties today? You're sounding a bit ornery. Not at all like your normal, sunny self on this board.
    Back to original thread topic:
I was surprised to find that Home Depot no longer stocks those handy brass "thumbscrews" that look like bollards.

Guess I need to go to Lowes or Ace for my deck holddowns

If you want to save some weight, you can find aluminum versions in the screen door parts section.

Sorry, Jeff, I was out sick with the puke'n'dukes... Wasn't mad, just worded it badly :)

Does McMaster have the brass bollard-looking screws?
