That ship looks great! It'd look even better if it was 2 feet underwater... I mean... I can't wait to see it IRL!

    First section off the printer!
Damn this X1 is FAST. Sliced between my Ender3 and the X1… 14hrs vs 3. New boat will be done probably this weekend.
9-30hrs per section last time. It took almost 2 weeks of printing. Not 2 days.

Next part. #3 of 7 for 10.5hrs is already on the printer. 1 short midship section and 3 long stern sections. It will definitely be a finished hull tomorrow.

Going to test Sport or maybe Ludicrous Mode.. last 3 sections are just over a day total. Ludicrous mode would make it 15hrs…

A few hicups that were purely my fault.

I hope we can see her on the water in Michigan next year. I bet if you brought extras you could sell a couple.

I love the new printer. So. Fast. My Ender would have taken multiple days.. all of the deck sections and first superstructure level took over night and into this evening.

    what printer are you using?

also are you adding the mounts directly to the print? Ie is this just a hull or does all the electrical gear have homes too?

    Bambu x1-carbon

yep. Everything EVERYTHING is modeled into the hull. Bottle mounts, battery packs, pump, motors, etc…

Honestly, that is the best part of a good 3dp hull design. That and not needing to cut windows. F windows. F fiberglass dust. I have no plans to go back to glass/wooden boats from here out.

I know it doesnt look like much.. but the redesign is so many light years ahead of the previous version.
The super structure is puzzle pieced together which makes it water resistant (water has to get in from under the outer wall and over the inner wall) and allows total access to the main components.

Once it is fully tested, I am going to be offering them as a kit build for sale, along with several other German ships. But that will be after the next battle season. Price will be on par with Will’s offerings.
