    If you plan on staining to have a natural wood look.... stain first...

    Just an update... haven't had room or time to work on Wahnsinnig lately. Hope to have a chance this weekend....

    Updates? I'm enjoying this build, I like the direct drive idea. Plus kooky ships are so cool.

    All building is on hold as I pack for my move into my new house at end of month...

    Finally got garage sufficiently unpacked to be able to find stuff...like my ships, drill press, etc. This thread will recommence after watching some FOOTBALL this weekend

    Had some financial drama occur just after my previous post. That coupled with a garage once again packed with shi....um, stuff, means I haven't gotten back to 'punk yet. Perhaps this weekend coming up I'll have some more pic's to post.

    I haven't had the finances or time to work on any boats for the last 18 months. Our proud ship languishes under the workbench. I may break it out and tinker with it this month, since most of the parts have already been bought for it. I will be sure to take pics as I resume. Thanks for resurrecting this thread and reminding me about the project!
